Veterans: Veteran Application If you are a veteran who would like to go on a trip to the WWII memorial in Washington D.C. please download this application, fill it out and send to our address at the bottom of this page.
Honor Flight Network recognizes American Veterans for your sacrifices and achievements by flying you to Washington, D.C. to see your memorial at no cost. Top priority (for which we are currently accepting applications) is given to World War II, Alaska Territorial Guard, Korean War veterans and terminally ill veterans from all wars.
In the future, Honor Flight Network will naturally transition to Vietnam War veterans. In order for The Last Frontier Honor Flight to achieve this goal, guardians fly with the veterans on every flight providing assistance and helping veterans have a safe, memorable and rewarding expiernece.

Typically during our trips, we assign one guardian to each veteran. Even before the veterans arrive at the airport, the guardian’s responsibilities begin with flight preparation and going over their packets of material. Once the veterans start to arrive, guardians will ensure boarding passes and IDs are available, distribute Honor Flight Network tee shirts, get the veterans through security and to the gate, assist in boarding, etc.
From the moment the veterans are in our hands, until we return them to their loved ones, guardians will be asked to treat these heroes as if they are family and ensure that every veteran has a safe, memorable, and rewarding experience. Guardians are volunteers and are expected to pay for their trip.

Volunteers might be asked to welcome the Veterans home at the end of the trip, attend information booths at events, or help with general mailing and clerical work.
